DeltaChem International, manufacturer and supplier of specialty fertilizers, inhibitors and enhancers is proud to announce that it received the Fertilizing Products Regulation (FPR) certificate, which is mandatory under the new EU Fertilizer Regulation 2019/1009. “By obtaining the FPR Certificate for our coated materials, we can market our 100% Coated Controlled Release Fertilizers incl. the CE mark” comments Leon Janssens, QC/QA Manager at Deltachem International.
Waldo Kranenburg, Managing Director comments; “obtaining this quality certificate is a great step for our company and it confirms once more that our QC and QA systems are of a very high quality. This assures that every day we produce only the highest quality of Controlled Release Fertilizers. I am proud of Leon and his R&D team for making this happen”.
What is FPR/CE?
The European Union accepted a new regulation in 2019, called the Fertilizer Products Regulation (FPR). This regulation has been drawn up to guarantee the quality of fertilizers within Europe. The CE marking Fertilizer Regulation is a mandatory regulation for every producer and distributor who work with fertilizers. This CE marking sets the standard for quality, safety and descriptions.
The certificate was issued by Kiwa VERIN. Kiwa is an international notified body for multiple CE markings. A notified body is an independent organization designated by the European Commission and the European Union member states to implement the certification. Kiwa has the expertise of fertilizer products and is involved in the implementation of the Fertilizing Products Regulation.
